For over half a century, Hamamoto Technical has dedicated itself to the art of eyewear manufacturing in Sabae, Japan —a region globally renowned for its precision craftsmanship.
Our history began with a simple yet uncompromising pursuit : to create exceptional products and earn lasting trust. Over decades of crafting titanium frames, we have cultivated a profound mastery of the more than 200 intricate steps involved in the process. Rather than specializing in a single phase, we have continuously refined our capabilities across every dimension of manufacturing — from mold design and press working to 5-axis machining, finishing, assembly, and final inspection.
This holistic approach has endowed us with something technology alone cannot quantify: decades of accumulated wisdom. To us, Japanese craftsmanship is not about adding superficial flourish; it is the art of imbuing every frame with the world’s finest quality. This philosophy remains the heartbeat of everything we create today.
Exceptional eyewear is the culmination of countless precise decisions.
At Hamamoto Technical, those decisions are made entirely within our own facilities in Sabae. By integrating every critical phase of production under one roof, we maintain direct control over the smallest nuances that define the final piece.
It all begins with the mold. Drawing on decades of specialized expertise, we craft custom molds of incredible precision, tailored to achieve complex forms. From there, titanium undergoes a rigorously controlled sequence —pressing, cutting, shaping, and hand-finishing. Advanced machining creates intricate geometries that pressing alone cannot achieve, while assembly requires a profound understanding of how each component seamlessly interacts.
We view the journey from raw material to finished frame as one single, continuous narrative. Our artisans work in close symbiosis with state-of-the-art machinery, constantly fine-tuning parameters based on material responses, temperature, pressure, tooling, and decades of experience.
The result is far more than simply a frame “Made in Japan.” It is a testament to an entire manufacturing system, developed and perfected over 50 years in Sabae.
